Paulton 5-0 Windsor

Where the f**k do i start....absolutely tragic. The new guy at centre half was useless as was Burgess(b4 getting sent off) why does simon continue to play him, all he does is get in fights and when he does get the ball he just kicks it out.Cooper is to old and slow, we desperately missed Dunlop . The worst thing about all this is Paulton were woeful, and countless times were carved open by good play, especially Dolan,Edge and porter.

Only players who came out with any credit were Dolan,Maza and Edge, the rest couldnt give a S**T.

SORT IT OUT SIMON THATS WHAT YOUR PAID TO DO!!

absolutely awful. team lacked structure and apart from a handful no one seemed to care. crosses into the box need to be worked on in training straight away as all 5 goals came from crosses of some sort. if mazza hadnt saved a penalty and saved a few other shots the score could have been much worse.

needs to be sorted now,and it was embarressing to see simon lane running on to the pitch and throwing his toys out the pram when burgess was sent off.

and it was a very small coach, wasnt it, i didnt know that the squad we had was 52 now.

Ok the injuries are bad but football not improved since Abingdon, and now its getting worse. He had a big squad but now hes down to bare bones, all the local lads Reedy,Conners,Cahill, Gardner,Omar, have gone because they werent getting regular chances and no reason given by SL.Some of his big star signings are no better than them but never put on bench and rotated. SL has a lot to answer for with poor tactics,we seem a yard off the pace and thinking ahead, poor disciplin, .To many long balls just pumped up field.Clubs going backwards and will need good results to avoid the drop.

did you acyually watch the game becasue you would have noticed that cahill played today and terry o connor is injured.reedy is at egham and we do need a left back.

you are right about discipline however.its worse than last year and it was really bad then. too may suspensions dont help the side and needless bookings for reacting and mouthing off dont help.all season players have picked up needless bookings and at the forum at the start of the season was it not said that the discipline problem would be sorted out?

MattSTFC the first sign of any trouble and windsor fans think we're doomed. if we win a few games in a trot they will be claiming we're going to piss this league. We're a fickle bunch and i count myself in that group!

I'm off to try and end it all with some thumbtacks...

Nice to see a 50 seater coach turn up yesturday.

We must have one hell of a big squad!

Why can't we defend from crosses. If you want to score against windsor cross to the far post where cooper will miss it and your striker can score an easy goal. Happened 4 times yesturday and 3 times on tuesday.

If it wasn't for Maza we would have been beaten by a lot more. We must now put the problem right starting with Brook House on tuesday.

We have to start winning or we can kiss the play offs goodbye.

I didn't go yesterday due to the distance but also the fact i've had a stinking cold all bl**dy weekend and my mood wasn't improved with the text of this result.

Accepting i go now and then to games these days i've seen this coming a long time ago. I'm all for getting behind the side but surely the time has come to be asking some serious of Mr Lane. Someone posted on this site back in August that they thought Mr Lane wasn't all that and quite rightly people posted that he should be given 6 months to see how things go, well that 6 months has been and gone and we have influential players leaving the club, the use of various goalkeepers, no cutting edge in the fianl third against any team that keeps bodies behind the ball, a team seemingly uncapable of winning games back to back and most alarmingly as a collective a team that seems to lack the balls for a scrap. Do Bashley have the same issues?

I do not want to hear excuses cr*p like injuries, sending off's and games being off. Click on the records page of this site at you'll see the postponements Byron Waltons promotion side had to deal with. That great side which had all the ingredients this team doesn't, they didn't hide behind excuses and nor did they have the front to thank fans for their support at the end of another 90 minutes of dross. If Mr Lane or any other so called Windsor fan that appears on this site week in week out sticking up for the dross we're now being served up on a weekly basis has any illusions of whats required i suggest they click on the archives section and look at the names of 2001 as very few of this years class are fit to wear the shirt.

See you all saturday. flowersmile

I'd rather not talk about the game yesterday but I will comment on the coach situation. When it was booked I was told they only had the smaller coach available so the decision was made that it would be players only, how they suddenly found a 52-seater I don't know!

Having said that, in the build up to the game only Hammerman expressed any interest in travelling by coach as others were already discussing train times without even asking if there was a coach available. If there is any interest there will be spaces available for the trips to Lymington, Newport and Taunton but you MUST book a place at least a week in advance so we know what size coach to order. It's no good saying I might be going or I'll let you know the day before so it's down to you lot now!

Another idea might be for our so-called supporters club to take some responsibility for away travel bookings ie one person takes the reins and books people in and then lets me know one week before how many seats are required?

Windsor Sec- The coach is a potential extra reveune stream for the club i would of thought the club would be very interested in raising funds. How about advertising it in the programme/online 2 weeks before just to see if you can get any interest?

However i understand that it was a genuine mix up this time and the less said about Yesterday the better and lets get back to winning ways Tuesday night!!

Coach issue.

I understand Windsor sec that this was not your problem/fault as you usually ask the supporters when a coach is due.

But didn't someone at the meeting at the beginig of the season say that they would sort it out. Oh thats right it was Malcolm.

I posted a coach travel section and Malc replied that he would let us know if one become available.

ps I wont be at the Taunton game.

Steve -

I appreciate that this week's coach mix-up was beyond our control but the whole coach situation needs to be sorted out. This is not a dig at you because I don't know who should be doing the job but SOMEBODY at the club needs to be responsible for publicising details of coach places available for supporters as early as possible. Also, it is just as important to let us know asap when there are no coach places available as when there are some.

To say that only one person showed an interest is not good enough. There are always going to be supporters interested in travelling on the team coach and it is unrealistic to expect everybody to post "Yes, I'm also interested.." "Me too..." And me..." week after week when the normal response from the club is total silence. Don't blame supporters for talking train times when there has been no mention of a coach because 'no mention' is what we have come to expect. If all the travelling supporters waited for the club to pronounce on the coach situation before making alternative arrangements none of us would ever get there.

Empty seats on the coach means lost revenue to the club and, more than that, supporters who are hacked off because they have had to drive or pay expensive train/bus/taxi fares unnecessarily or even miss the game altogether!

Somebody needs to take responsibility for posting details on this forum as soon as a decision is made, one way or the other, about coach spaces. If there is any debate about how many want to go by coach the obvious action is to ASK, on this forum, rather than counting the number of people who have taken the initiative to find out.

Where do you start?? Worst display seen for many a year (I include some or last seasons turgid displays in this). Anybody who went to Oxford last Tues will know that this result was coming. The goals from crosses is getting embarrassing now, the Paulton number 4 must of thought it was Christmas the amount of free headers we allowed him in the box. The lack of discipline from a couple of individuals is beginning to border on insane. Somebody needs to tell them to play the game or F@ck right off.

Nice ground with a good clubhouse only £5 to get in and Burger & Chips for £2.

I see Brook House got done 5-0 yesterday. Tuesday night should be a classic! Fortunately results went our way yesterday but we must pickup at least 4 points from the next 2 games or I fear we are doomed to another season in this League.

trust me whilst simon lane is manager you would be better off looking at the division below than the one above if you want to get out of it. the man has a track record of failure as was pointed out in the summer. nothing has changed.

Suprised to read the comment above that you thought Paulton were 'woeful'. Since beating Taunton 3-0 on Boxing Day the only side we have lost to is Bashley away (and should have got something out of that). Even excluding the penalty miss we could easily have hit 7 or 8 on Saturday.

So, I would say in the context of this league we are a more than adequate side. Of course, everything is relative. Compared to, say, Bath City or Team Bath I would say we are some way behind, but surely you only need to be good enough for the league that you are playing in. Personally I found the comment a trifle harsh.

Agreed I thought Paulton were a decent well organised side. The guy that got sent off was probably the best player I've seen this season, also let’s not forget Maz saved a pen and make a string of good saves. Saying that any team in the league would have comfortably beaten Windsor on Sat. I suppose you can only beat what’s put in front of you and 5-0 is pretty emphatic!
