Boy do we need a home game!

We really do need a home game, the forum is beginning to stagnate. Nothing new to talk about, what new topics there have been seem to deteriorate into a sea of bickering between ourselves over silly little niggles. With the exception of one or two outsiders, we all want the same thing, a successful Margate side. We all know the pitch is a mess, and what the problem is, but we have got to live with that now, at least till the end of the season. As for the outsiders, one at least has tempered his comments recently, we can live with him, as for the other one (we all know who it is), if we all put him on our ignore list he will soon get bored and hopefully move on.

Can't we just ease up on ourselves and enjoy our club and its success.

This is just my opinion, pull it apart if you wish, but please (BE NICE ABOUT IT). As for Mr Sanderson, any obnoxious comments from you will be wasted on me, you have been on my ignore list for quite some time!

Who are you accusing of bickering?? With that attitude I think I will just have to punch you on the nose...............anyone got an extenable ladder I can borrow to be the same height??

Good post AB.

Tend to agree, albeit in the circumstances of being starved of football, i think the forum has not stagnated quite as much as it could have done.

We do need 'refreshing' with some real football matters to debate though.

Maybe a signing or two ?

Maybe some in -house club news.

Above all of course, live football-possibly pitch permitting-5 home games in the next 18 days !!

That was the other good thing about reserve and U18 news-a bit more real footie topics to discuss.

Lets just hope when we get back to playing, we get winning Margate football aswell.

I'm really fed up with you little blokes taking the mickey out of tall people. That is height discrimination and if it isn't against the law it should be.

I've got an extending ladder, I'll gladly bring it with me on Saturday, if Neville will let me take it on the bus! We will put a stop to all this heightist discrimination once an for all! SO THERE!

I'll kick you boyz off with some good old fashioned footy banter...

The skies are clearing, the wind is up, the pitch will dry out and on Tuesday evening the mighty Angels wing their way into sunny Margate. The battle of the strikers begins. Hockton will start sharply with an assist by Pinns but Main will weave his way speedily past your woefully baffled defence smile Our midfield will frustrate you and you'll be down to 10 men by half time....

Up step the Managers. The delectable Dobla and tantalising Trotty, the female fans will be swooning....Back to the footy...With the score at 1-1 the second half kicks off and Angels go on full out attack against a battle hardy Margate. The Ref is a joke and awards a Pen to Margate for a really soft 2 footed studs up tackle from little Razor....Up steps Pinns and skies the ball, the Angel faithful are in uproar dancing behind the goal with chants of 'Let's go flippin mental' before giving your Keeper some very gentlemanly baiting grin

Much merriment will be had in the bar after the game, and i'll be found under the table after being 'touched' by the hand of God...

So, 'Bless you all, the long and the short and the tall...' biglaugh

Hope he wears that red shirt and long shorts he wore against us at Longmead, and lucky for him Abbott won't be playing and beating him from 45 yards! Joseba had great fun baiting him that day wink

Well at least I always get a good view of the games being my height grin

Joseba had great fun baiting him that day

Yes I remember him well.

Those shorts looked as if Frankie was modeling Ancient Blues shorts.

That pathetic all fours scramble back into his goal as Abbo Lobbed him.

The look of fear his face as I warned him about Deano's fierce shooting ability as he came on.

But, I also remember his sporting clapping of the Choir after the game.

Friendly banter of keepers during the game and respect after bring it on it's what Non League is all about.
