Morecambe rocked by Twiss injury

Morecambe's promotion hopes have been a dealt a blow after learning that top scorer Michael Twiss is set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Twiss, who has scored 14 times this term, is thought to have damaged medial ligaments in Saturday's defeat at Gravesend & Northfleet.

Just get rid of Benson and Charlie will have no competition for the league's top scorer!

At the match last Saturday overheard a wag in front of me, and it's true. "Look a Twiss roll" as poor old Twiss went up in the air after hitching a lift on the shoulders of one of our guys.

 

All the same, it is a shame when someone gets hurt. I wish him well.
