King Georges Playing Field - Rayleigh

BOROMAN

Recommended Posts

Did anyone read the Echo last night. The Rayleigh Town Council (asssume that is like a Parish Council) want to charge people for kicking a football in the park.

I don't mean hiring a pitch for a match, I mean for example, a few of us getting together on a grassed area "off pitch" putting some coats down as goalposts and having a kick about.

Some blokes were doing this recently and from knowhere, a couple of councillors (you know the sort who still live with their Mums and would fit in perfectley on Havering Council) turned up and said they could not play. Luckily for the Officials, the lads playing footie decided not to use them as the ball.

What is the world coming to?

we had that when i was younger. we used to go play football down the local playing fields in south woodham. one day we are playing and some geezer from the council comes over and tells us to do one.

and they wonder why teenagers end up hanging around the town centres and getting to mischief
