KTFCSC - The Enfield Town forum says that their reserve match at Haringey on Wednesday night is already off. Then again, the forecast for tomorrow is a lot worse than for today.

KTFCSC its a total lottery as to if a game will be on or off, i can assure you that people are out this morning doing what they can to make the game playable!

 

Official Word should be out by 12 at the earliest!

Sorry a little off topic, but living just off Green Lanes nowadays, how do I get to the ground from Wood Green? Which is the best bus to take? I fancy coming to watch if the game is on.

Geomains - don't know the bus but I believe the ground is walking distance (less than 1mile) from Wood Green tube. Along Lordship Lane, left into Perth Road, right into White Hart Lane.

Hey I am Sorry to announce that the game has been called off, Alot of hard work had been done to try and get it to be played, but to no avail!

3praise - What a huge disappointment to one and all, I thought that 'people were out this morning doing what they can to make the game playable', are you in a position to divulge who they were, how many and at what time they started work on trying to get the hallowed turf playable. In my day I would be at Coles Park at 7.00 on the morning of a match if there was any shadow of a doubt sweeping, sanding and all but blowing on every blade of grass myself to dry it out, where is that dedication to duty now and were you present might I ask.

Rhodes i was not there unfortunatly as i had yo be at work myself, It was always my understanding that the pitch is alot better now then it was last season when you was there and that more games where called off then? so all your blowing lead to nothing (is that what the wife says?)

That's why it was always a sh*t hole, overplayed, over sanded and the groundman was Rhodes!

"Sugar" is alive and well and was at the Recreation ground last night! I can report he was his usual polite and pleasant self.

Well at least the games got played and there was no major fixture backlog, the SSML must be incandescent to put it mildly at the present situation.
