'Why would Stony Stratford have problems? If the distance from changing rooms to pitch was a problem, Holmer Green wouldn't be in the Premier Division'.

Potters Bar Town - Holmer Green is like the old Highbury in comparison to Stony Stratford Town which makes the march to retake Port Stanley during the Falklands War seem tame in comparison, I'm sure our elite SAS troops currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, some of whom are mates of mine, would struggle with it.

Could you repeat that statement in a manner that makes sense to the rest of us please?

I'm just saying that, as I'm sure 99.9% of people who have been to Stony Stratford Town would agree, the walk from the changing rooms to the hallowed Ostlers Lane turf is too far to allow them to ply their trade in the SSML Premier Division and at Step 5 level. This is very sad indeed as they are a nice forward thinking Club, can I just clarify whether you have actually been there yourself out of morbid curiosity.

And my point was that Holmer Green is also a very long walk from dressing rooms to pitch, across the entire length of a car park, in fact. Therefore, on the basis that they are already in the Premier Division, the distance from the changing rooms alone would not appear to be sufficient reason to prevent Stony Stratford's promotion. They certainly have a better claim than, for example, a club that is looking to play an entire season without a valid groundshare agreement.

To satisfy your morbid curiosity (Why is your curiosity always morbid, by the way? More skleletons in your cupboard?), I have been to Stony Stratford twice for the Cherry Red Books Trophy QF against Enfield Town and for a pre-season friendly against Potters Bar Town. For the Enfield Town game, their organisational skills were spot on and they coped more than adequately with a crowd of 200+.

Was that by instructing everyone in no uncertain terms to keep off the cricket pitch and to stop for water on their way to the pitch.

What key point, it's a long walk full stop. I feel that unless they build dressing rooms a lot closer to the playing pitch then there is little hope for them getting into the SSML Premier Division, this may sound harsh particularly if the friendly Ostlers Lane Club read it but it's a reality.

The key point being that there is already one long walk at an existing Premier Division ground, so it is unlikely to be the sole reason to prevent a club's promotion. In reality, Stony Stratford still have a lot more hope of promotion than Kentish Town. That may sound harsh, but it's a reality you seem keen to avoid.

Potters Bar Town - You always have to have the last word on everything even when you know you're wrong, rumour even has it that there are risen mounds of earth with wooden crosses between the dressing rooms and pitch at Stony Stratford where players or spectators simply haven't made it.

Only when you leave stories half told, clip Rods. Always happy to fill in the gaps.

Well it's a bit of an annoying habit, it's the same with the likes of Lato, Horace and Spidermanor to name a few, why can't you all just give credit where credit is due, as Gavin and Paula kindly do, to a small Club in North London who is doing everything right and trying to move heaven and earth to succeed both on and off the field of play against all the odds, that's surely not a lot to ask is it.

we give credit to the club, the players and the staff (yes even Clement Temile). What I and presumably the others object to is your ridiculous hyperbole, lies, half truths, unnecesary exaggeration and ridiculous comments. Cut those out clip rod and stick to accurate facts and people might have more respect for KTFC and perhaps you. Think about it.

Lato - Well point taken and thanks for some of those comments however I don't believe I exaggerate in the slightest, just the opposite infact and if I were to talk us up and our achievements this season you would certainly know about it. Take Lee Scott as one example, this is a player who should be playing league football with his eyes firmly closed yet chooses to stay with Kentish Town through undivided loyalty and a desire to help us succeed and get to the promised land. What more can I say.

One question i do have Rhodes, is With Clement being just a part of the coaching staff what does the manager have to say about the way Clement gets all the credit for what Kentish town do this year? I would assume he is not best pleased with the situation!

I have to say Rhodes after reading some of your threads and a number of your match reports for various clubs over the years i must say, that to say that you exaggerate is the understatement of the century. It really is quite embarrassing how little you know about the game of football, and to suggest that kentish town have a player capable of playing league football "with his eyes firmly shut" really makes me wonder what dream world your living in, coinsidently which clubs have made KTFC an offer for the superstar in question.

Well how long have you got, my mobile never stops ringing with enquiries about Lee. Anyway it would appear that Haringey have another 'fan' on here who rivals 3praise with his comments, I never thought that possible.

Mr BeaN, i am not sure who you are yet, but i welcome more back up for the haringey cause, especially with Rhodes about.

Rhodes you remind me a bit of Jeremy Beadle turning up unexpectantly and then causing havoc with anything you say or do or are apart of.
