This update has taken into account the 18 pts deduction for AFC Wimbledon.Should their appeal be successful the table & points will be adjusted accordingly at that time.

Hence a few different positions from the last update.

Almost as exciting as the real thing-particularly when the weather deprives us of our (bi)weekly fix.

 

As season draws to its conclusion,is there any chance that Cookie could put in a bit of extra time and give us updates twice a month ?

Incidentally out of the 26 who entered, below are the positions that Margate were forecast to finish.

1st = 1

2nd = 6

3rd = 7

4th = 3

5th = 4

6th = 2

7th = 3

No doubt in my mind we should finish top, surprised to be in a minority of one tho.

Two Dave, but I didn't do the prediction league, thought I would give others a chance!

I have contacted the secretary of the Ryman league to see the "rules" on displaying AFC Wimbledons points deduction. Should it be deducted now considering they have been found guilty,pending appeal? Or should the points be deducted at the end of the season,as has been mentioned eleswhere.(if unsuccessful appeal)

This is his take on it!(official)(his reply included below).

Reply:

 

The points cannot be deducted until the 14 day period for the Club to appeal

to the FA has passed (24th February). And then if they do appeal, the decision must be put

on hold until the hearing is held and a decision published.

 

If you see any tables that have deducted the points in advance of this,

please let me know and I will try and have it corrected.

So on the strength of his reply the NEXT update will revert back to the previous table positions with AFC Wimbledon shown up there with us with NO points deduction UNLESS of course any appeal has been looked at & discussed & a final decision made in the meantime(14 days etc).

We must therefore treat AFC Wimbledon as having NO points being deducted & as rightly said by others we should treat them as contenders rather than a mid table team for the present.

The prediction table will be re-adjusted accordingly on the next update.Apologies for the confusion & any error made.
