Programme awards

Recommended Posts

I've said on here before that if anyone wants a copy of our programme just PM me your home address and I'll put one in the post, I'll even pay the postage. Just buy me a pint sometime if I ever see you at a game.

There's one in the post to you, I virtually had to take out a mortgage to cover the postage cost. Enjoy the read, I hope you own a book mark as I doubt you'll be able to read it all in one go.

I didn't realise you were underprivileged. Shall we have a collection for you?

Rhodes, the only person from Hoddesdon who reads this message board is myself and the reason I don't post as much as you do is because I do not find myself frequently having to take my foot out of my mouth. Contrary to your perception, we have far more important things to worry about than winning programme competitons!! Yes, Jane does an amazing job on our programme and deserves all the praise she gets but it really isn't what keeps us up at night! Rather than contemplating programme awards, I find myself wondering where our "AWAY" game is going to be played against your team of Nomads!

Kind regards,

Jonno

Keep digging Rhodes. See my previous post for a response......

I can't help getting the impression that you already know the answer to this question, the venue for the eagerly awaited contest on 31 March has already been arranged.

Jonno - Are you sure that you're not telling pork pies, your post above from another thread indicates that you know full well where the encounter on 31 March will be played. Hopefully NeutralFan will get me a pint in this time and you will also put your hand in your pocket.

God, it's like trying to get blood out of a stone!!!

Rhodes,

I "HEARD" that you don't have a home ground anymore.

I "HEARD" that it may get switched to HTFC.

All this from somebody not affiliated with HTFC.

Surely you know better than anyone, that hearsay is often complete b?llsh?t and it is far better to get it direct from the horses mouth?

I have not yet spoken to anybody affiliated with HTFC and therefore have not been informed of any details that have been decided! Work is kind of dominating my life right now and I am not as in touch with things as I normally am. Plus there is nothing on the HTFC website.

So, I ask you again! When and where is the game being played????

Where did you hear this out of interest as it is currently 'Royal Secret' information, or should I say was up to yesterday. Now that you have let the cat out of the bag negotiations are in place to play the game at Lowfield on 31 March as your Reserves are away at New Bradwell St Peter that day, hopefully you can make it however you have plenty of notice now to put in for the day off work don't you.

I hope that was aimed at clip rods and not about me getting a round in!! I was always first to the bar and one of the last to leave when I was at Hoddy.. albeit due to a nagging bird and a good whip smirk

NeutralFan - Hopefully you will be present on 31 March so you can do the honours this time around, perhaps I'll stay for a while after the proceedings and introduce you to a few more of our players and perhaps even 'the messiah' if he doesn't have to rush off, bring your autograph book just incase I can swing it.

Are you saying that he will only sign autographs for you and your 'friends' "when you can swing it"? Clearly he doesn't regard you as highly as you regard him!

Potters Bar Town - It's not so much that but don't forget 'the messiah' is somewhat of a celebrity at the end of the day and certainly the biggest star plying his trade in the SSML and at Step 5 level. He has a very busy life away from our Club and although I am fortunate enough to be able to call him 'a mate' there is still only so much he will agree to, signing autographs is not in his remit at Kentish Town and something he is not comfortable with as he's so modest and unassuming but hopefully he would do it anyway out of the goodness of his heart.
