Not petty at all,& not intended to be.I am in the opinion that the Rams, though doing astoundingly well are up against it.Its my realistic evaluation of things thats all.Nothing to do with local rivalry or ignoring them because of that.Just my opinion of who can seriously be in with a chance.Ramsgate may well be there at the end Rob,who knows. You will think differently & quite rightly so.You are a Rams supporter after all & if I were in your shoes I would be of the same opinion but I'm not(thankfully)in your shoes. In my view, realistically, these are my challengers at this time.Dosen't mean I'm going to be right though does it? AFC Dons could win their appeal & they would then definately have to included if that were to be successful. So you see you are not the only ones to be excluded in my evaluation Not every post is designed to have a pop at the Rams.If you feel differently then by all means do a similar thread on YOUR forum excluding us or including yourselves.I would have no problem with that.

Time & results will give us the answer to the reality of things at the end of the day & not my evaluation of things as they stand at this moment in time.

As of now I am Steve.I still think they can make the play offs but I doubt whether they will get the points back somehow. However you are correct in that until the outcome of the appeal maybe I should have included them. Also I am showing the Ramsgate fixtures just for those that felt left out! Arhhhhh!

I must admit that i also thought Ramsgate would be nowhere near and would fade away post christmas.

In fairness-we are now two thirds of the way through the season and they are still up there.

They do seemto be a fairly consistent side-beating teams below them ,yet losing to teams above them.

i.e they play and get results 'to form'

On that basis, they are probably going to get another 24 or so points, which would give them middle 70's at season end and if thats the case 4th/5th spot.

Their next three games against Leyton,Ashford and Worthing are on paper all games they should and will win,so i think we have to give them credit and respect;and is it just conceivable that we could be meeting them in the play-offs-an even bet i reckon.

also- much as it still hurts-how did we get on against Boreham Wood !!

I still can't see how they are still up there, but they are,and in fairness, there is no logical reason anymore to say they will fade away.

The only other thing i question is whether it is healthy to have 3 brothers in a team at the same time-freaky and scary that one

Personally i think the success of the Rams on a fairly tight budget with mostly local playyers is good news for Margate fans.

Its helped to create a bit more interest locally and shown that there some decent players locally.

Hopefully they might be able to take some points off Bromley and help the Gate in the main aim, which is surely to be Champions!

Absolutely correct Steve.Having recieved the "official" on this, AFC Wimbledon,as of this time are OFFICIALLY joint top(3rd on G.D) & therefore they most certainly ARE a team we have to be aware of still. Apologies for jumping the gun.You were entirely correct. Lets hope our boys realise that the game v them is STILL a most important game between two of the top contenders(though EVERY game should of course be)(Possible appeal pending in due course)
