Thanks Coachie.

Im certainly looking forward to really getting into things at Hullbridge. The club is run by some excellent people who seem to be putting hours and hours of work in to make the club a success and hopefully I can contribute to that on the field too. (as long as they don't ask me to put my boots on!)

Im also looking forward to becoming ridiculously addicted to this forum and losing any social life I currently have!

Hookey - that is a guideline, as you say, I have done alot for my age and as long as the course organisers agree you can cope on the course you are allowed on (as long as your 16+)

AND, they are both me. Im an Orient fan too, and I was the website assistant at LOASS.

Then all I can say Jack is well done and the best of luck. I thought my boy Joe was young for a Level 2 (was 18 when he took it last May). Now considering taking his UEFA 'B' at Keele University at the end of June (Residential Course).

Good luck to you and Rico for the remainder of the season!

Cheers JP, please PM me the info re the course. The reason he is considering a res course is because he plays at the weekends.

He is currently working/Coaching at West Ham Utd's Football in the Community. He is the only one of his peers I know that is doing for a living what he actually studied to do. i.e. 2 years at Thurrock & Basildon College on the football academy course under the tutelage of Colin Reid and Stuart Inwood.. In addition to his Level 2, he also got a BTEC in Sport (Excellence & Performance). He has also passed his YMCA Level 2 Gym Instructors exam at Club Kingswood.

PM sent in about 2 minutes mate.

Yeah, the courses are tough for players/coaches/managers so you have to really be careful with your time. Well done on him for going full time, thats not common in coaching at our ages, wish him all the best. (Maybe see him next summer!)

It's tough to coach and be accepted when your young so you have to work extra hard at it, so I can empthasise with him that way. With me I've always had people not believeing I can do it/have done it, because of my age but it's just down to us to try and show them we can. Needless to say there are forward thinking clubs like Hullbridge that give players/coaches that are young a chance - and if it weren't for them I feel the coaches in the country would forever be at standstill.

I hear that. The problem is credibilty, players like to know/think that you have been there and done it in order to empathise with them.

Perserverance and self belief is the key!!!
