Postponements ............... The Ground!

Today's match being postponed was disappointing for all of us.

The real reason was not the weather though, but the substandard drainage situation. If the ground is to be developed, pitch turned etc etc then no problem, we can muddle on for the rest of the season.(frustrating as it is). If not then the drainage situation needs to be sorted in the summer anyway.

My main point though is it's all guesswork, who the hell knows what's happening? To say we've all been patient is an understatement.

Come on MFC, we love you but your communications are appalling.

Keep us informed, give us some news!(even if it's bad we need to know).

We must have a new ground soon or all the hard work ON the pitch will be undone by the poor work OFF it.

I think its very frustrating the lack of news on the ground. When you look at Dartford and the rise in attendances and the huge potential of the Gate, you realise just how much ground improvements are needed.
If the present board need help maybe they should make some kind of public appeal that the fans could support. There are plenty of welathy people in Thanet maybe some of them would be willing to step in and help or maybe the council could be pressurised by some of us voters?
Doing nothing just doesnt seem like a very good option.

i agree but they might feel that if they do some sort of public appeal then the pride of the players, supporters and themselves will get damaged, mostl likely by the Ramsgate lot - no offence to those decent ramsgate people(that doesnt included the ones that stur up trouble on the forum!)

I think what 2 or 3 Rams fans say is irrelevant. An appeal to the council might? not be a complete waste of time. But maybe there is too much bad feeling between certain individuals(I dont honestly know)

But it would be great to see HDP rebuilt into a ground the club and the whole of Thanet could be proud of!
