What do you think?

If you were associated with Brentwood Town and you had cheated to gain an advantage in a League and you knew that the whole footballing world was against you would you, even though the FA found you not guilty, offer to play the game again so that if or when you are promoted you know that you did it the right way. Vote now.

sorry you have the advantage of me,i know nothing of the issue at hand.perhaps if you would tell us more of the incident the poll relates to then we could come to a more considered decision.i remember the old brentwood side which won the esl in 1999/20o0?,that side was totally amateur and the club paid nothing but expenses to its staff.

we played brentwood in a league match back in september where they beat us 4-2. it turned out their central midfielder who was named man of the match after the game was suspended. the rules say brentwood should have been deducted 3 points but that has not been the case. unfortunately that day both our central midfielders were suspended and we adhered to the rules. this decision has made a bit of a mockery of the league when you see what has happened to the likes of AFC Wimbledon lately.

This could run and run 'cos somebody's got the hump about an administrative error on the part of Essex FA. At least that's what I've deduced from the opinions and a maelstrom of facts which are spread over a few threads now. These things happen - no one's perfect.

That administrative error (involving a very slight mispelling of a name) apparently led to a misunderstanding as to whether a particular player then recently signed by Brentwood was suspended. Brentwood made enquiries and presumably were told he was not suspended and played him - presumably in good faith. I can imagine a player honestly relying on what his new club have told him - and playing perhaps because he thought his disciplinary hearing had not yet been fully dealt with.

The truth of the matter may never be completely known = anyway karma will decide.

There's bigger injustices than this in this crazy world
