Kick off time changed

Thanks. Just got a text from a Welling supporter which I didn't know whether to believe at first.

Plenty of home fans will miss most of the 1st half. Will people turning up at 2.45 onwards get a discount? What about season ticket holders? I'd be really p*ssed off if I missed over half the 1st half & the winner was scored during that time. Presumably problem was not realized until Morecambe had set off or it would have been postponed. Club officials will need to dust off their trusty rhino hides in preparation for the stick they'll get later, whatever the outcome.

Why should they get stick, it's completely outside the club's control, and only happened this morning.

It.s here, it's on the main website, it's on Sky and Radio Kent, the absolutly nothing else the club could have done.

Morecambe travelled down yesterday.

I'm not sure exactly, but it's something to do with the power supply.

There wasn't time to go into detail when Jason rang me as we wanted to get as many people informed as quickly as possible.

I have had a call from the Club telling me about the re-arranged kick off. Presuambly, because I'm a season ticket holder.

Have also heard that the earlier kick off time has been broadcast on the radio and sky sports news too.

I agree with Dave not much more the Club could have done.

Of course there was nothing else they could do - but you watch the stick come, nonetheless. Rationality or putting oneself in the Official position don't come into it as far as the Fleet supporter berating his own club goes. I hope I'm proved wrong. If people are busy or working this morning they won't know. I only knew because I quickly looked on here, having got a text.

Well done for the club letting people know. applause

It was on Sky Sports, BBC Radio Kent, on here, the website and they were ringing people, what more could they do? You'll still get people coming on here moaning about it though.

I think it's got something to do with Welling, they use our ground then ten days later our floodlights don't work, gotta be something to do with them.

In truth some muppet drilled through a cable in the road at 4:30 in the morning.

Get used to it folks ! This is one of the benefits ( ha !) of living in the developing Thames Gateway !!

No power ! Gas valves being hit ( aka last week's chaos !)...wait till the summer when it doesn't rain for a couple of weeks.....no water !!

Still...Blair would have gone to one of his many properties after retirement, & Brown will f*ck off back to the Highlands !

We'll pick up the pieces.........cheers !!

Woe, woe & thrice woe !!

You heard it here first folks !!

Enjoy....NOT !

Cheers,

It seems a few people guaranteed I arrived on time for my afternoons entertainment.

A former neighbour phoned, to say her husband had seen the new kick off time, on SkySport. My partners dad phoned, and told me he'd heard the change of time, due to power failure, on BBC Radio Kent. And, I received a mystery phone call, saying that, 'Gravesend and Northfleets game against Morecambe would kick off at 2:30, because of power/floodlight failure'. I later found out this call may of come from the club.

I'd like to say Thank You to all these people. And making sure I saw a very entertaining game, with a very satisfactory win.
