New posters printed off for Horsham on 24th and Billericay on 27th. Hopefully game will be on tomorrow so I can distribute them. If not will drop them off at shops, houses, ground etc as previously done.

We need about a month of "no rain" I should think Alan. Not holding out much hope with this changing weather.Maybe we should ask Herne Bay for the loan of their pitch just in case!! Would be better than not getting a game in at all.The club must be feeling the pinch with all these postponed games.Leyton at home on the 6th March too.We have three home games coming up all told then & we really need our pitch to be ready to take in ALL 3 games. Weather watch again!

I know the club have tried with that machine to help things along but am wondering if anything else has been arranged to increase our chances.The club certainly need the income & we need those home games to go ahead without any further postponements.

Ground had massive puddles on it today when I took the posters up but at least not playing again until 24th, start praying for better weather by then!

Could the ground cost us the title?

 

Can you imagine doing a fulls day work , then driving down to Margate to play footy on a Tuesday! Where as Saturday you would be less worn out and more relaxed

I agree re postponements, I am knackered watching them after a day's work!

Can't they get covers like the cricket Clubs do ?. atleast cover the center and goal mouths. If not why not?

There was talk I believe of a cover going over the ground, not sure what happened to that idea?

As someone said to me "Watch the covers blow away in the wind".

 

Still think the best option is to allow pratice touch downs and take offs by helicopters. Do not know what the neighbours would think though.

After some of the utter crap some of the neighbours came up with concerning factories being built on Hartsdown Park and God knows what other buildings in a bid to stop the ground I'm not that bothered about them......anyway if it was done during the day what would it matter???
