Wood Green on Saturday

God’s country then on Saturday, in the forties and fifties through to 1966 Wood Green was where you learned the right London dialect and your biological education was completed in the air raid shelters.

Although now handed over to a foreign culture Wood Green was the ideal teenage district with maybe Saturday night having 6 number differing Jazz clubs available 3 number dance halls 3 number cinemas and any number of pubs with music.

Produced excellent people as well!!
