Walton match

The following was posted on the Walton forum at 3pm today (Thursday) in response to the question "I know it's early, but will it be on?"

 

Well Walton was covered in snow when I left for work this morning so assuming our multi million pound covers and undersoil heating are still only on order and not actually in place yet I would assume the pitch is covered. Has melted steadily in London all day though so assume same there but guess with our drainage system also still only on order there will be inevitable puddles and the game is in big danger................

Hi There HorshamRebel Will the game between Walton and Slough Town be on tomorrow? Because it snowed yesterday and the weather for tomorrow is for it to rain so will the game be on tomorrow? Or will it get called of due to waterlogged or frozzing pitch?

heres hoping theres a game on. if there is good luck to the lads for tomorrow, i cant be there as i am at twickenham for the day, but the Rebels will not be far from my thoughts! lets get some space between us and the bottom.

Burnham still on - no ref inspection, and bloke i spoke to says he doesn't see why it should be called off - so as i'm in Slough, heading there with Sue,Aiden etc.

Maidenhead is off.
