in sandridge there was.....

and if memory serves correctly didn't the same thing happen when Harding was in charge. There was quite a few people clearing the terraces, lines etc. but the game was still called off.

But as there was less than 3 inhes of snow (according to Colin) where were all the volunteers on Saturday?

Hi Webbo.

 

I suspect that your reminiscance of the Harding years dates back to February 2000 when despite the efforts of a few to clear approximately 1/4 inch or so of snow from the pitch and terraces, the game could not be saved. carshalton as I recall, or perhaps Hampton.

 

I suspect that there was 3 or 4 inches of snow at The Park on Saturday.

 

When I phoned the chap who ysed to drive the red tractor on Saturday, I asked whether volunteers could assist but he said that there was just too much snow.

 

I notice that Woood played on Saturday. Were you clearing the snow down there on Saturday morning Webbo?
