Based on the last population figures and the average attendances shown in this site's attendances table, Burnham is doing quite well! With an average attendance of 137 for a population of 12,000 approx, then if Slough got the same proportion attending it would have average crowds around 1350 and Windsor would have just over 1000...

REALITY CHECK FELLAS,

NOT A BIG CLUB ANYMORE DUE TO MISMANAGEMENT ON AND OFF THE FIELD?BEFORE DISCUSSING WHICH LEAGUE YOU NEED TO BE IN EXISTENCE?

WILL SOUTHERN LEAGUE ALLOW YOU TO GROUNDSHARE UNDER LATEST RULINGS?

YOU MAY END UP AT ETON WICK,PLAYING PARK FOOTBALL TO STAY ALIVE AS A CLUB?

AS FOR WE WERE GREAT 10 YEARS AGO SO WAS I ( 21 )?

I HOPE YOU CAN REGAIN SOME OF THE OLD GLORY DAYS BUT IT HAS TO BE AT A LEVEL WERE THE CLUB CAN EXIST??

GOOD LUCK TO YOU FOR WHAT HAS BEEN A TORRID TIME OF LATE???

Although a but vehment in their attacks i think the WEFC lads have a point, we would struggle in the ryman if we continue our current form. But..... and there is a but Slough should be playing at a higher level... but (no2) various factors have destroyed the club beyond all recognition from the conference team we were (or even the Diadora league..as it was then)

Incidentally in reply to Brighton Rebel's point about Burnham, Windsor and Beaconsfield not being "massive football towns", it is worth acknowledging that these "villages" do make a good contribution to football - Burnham, for example, as well as running the Southern League side also has a reserve team, a youth team, a ladies team, hosts Fulham Ladies and if you go along to the Cherry Orchard, there are myriad teams of youngsters ranging in age from those who are not much bigger than the ball to under 18's playing in Burnham colours. Not much compared to a Conference side I suppose, but it helps strengthen football as a sport in the area!

Woody, I know this hard for you to grasp having both a very limited knowledge of both history and the non-league game but throughout Slough existence as a football club they have effectively never played in a league further down the pyramid than the Ryman Premier as it stands. We have no divine right to be in any league but for the long suffering "ordinary joe" supporters it is very hard to see the club dying on its [****!!****] through no fault of your own. Financial mismanagement has seen our club collapse. If a similar thing happened to Windsor it really would be park football that beckoned and you and your ilk would have long since buggered off.
