SNOW!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I work in the city and obviously with the current weather conditions travelling back to Gravesend could become like a mountinous treck up Everest, my mum has just rang from Falconwood where she has been sat for and hour waiting for a train. So would anyone be able to give regular updates throughout the day letting me know what's going on weather wise in Gravesend? Based on these reports I'll be able to make my mind up about what time to leave work early if at all. Obviously a little over exageration is required as this is work we're talking about. smile

I'm at school and sitting in a free lesson at the moment, the snow is a lot heavier, half the kids aren't in school, a mass snowball fight this morning. Hoping to all go home, though! Cancel School!

PRAY!

Hope snow goes by Saturday. Don't really want more tuesday night matches.

According to Th EXpress , We are entering a catastrophic phase of Weather , with "experts" predicting the "extreme possibility" of the return of The Mammoth. People will be buying Braed and Soup in bulk and all utilities wil be shut off.

Which in reality means it will all thaw out soon.

Have we got any long haired Parker Wearing school kids preferably with flares to help clean the pitch. Or have I been watching too much ESPN

I think we should hope it goes ahead. Morecambe went into overtime Tuesday at Stevanage before losing despite their impressive away form. So with another long trip south and with

that game maybe still in their legs we may not get an opportunity to beat them.

That, apparently, had nothing to do with the snow and more to do with with Network Rail's faulty points affecting the line via Bexleyheath. Oh, and via Sidcup. grin

Whilst all this was going on, I was safely tucked up in bed. angel

Being involved with the sponsorship of Saturday's match, it would be a huge headache to arrange an alternative game if it was to be postponed. The type of sponsorship package Vizards Wyeth pay for is not appropriate for a re-arranged mid-week game unfortunately. So I for one hope it can go ahead.

And I also agree it could be a good time to play Morecambe due to their Tuesday night match.

Finally the fixture list would become overcrowded if it were postponed.

Well I got to work ok, mind you when I got to Abbey Wood yesterday morning they said there were no trains. But one did turn up 10 mins later and I got to work in Central London a little later than normal. But getting home last night was ok and no problems this morning, and the predicted heavy frost has not materialised where I live. Hope the pitch at Stonebridge Road is ok as I was planning to come back and watch the Fleet tomorrow. First chance I have had really since the Boxing Day game against Crawley.

:-)
