The Ryman League have docked AFC Wimbledon all of the 18 league points that had been secured whilst playing the ineligible Jermaine Darlington and also fined them a further £400 for breaches of Ryman League rules.

 

Got to feel sorry for them in some ways, but then again rules are rules.

Rules may be rules, but I feel a bit sorry for them, and would rather (if we do!) win the league fair and square on our performance rather than someone else's misfortune.

The punishment is totally out of proportion to the 'crime' committed. Clubs get docked ten points for going into administration, yet you can lose 18 for one simple paperwork error.

rules are same for everyone we have been docked points and been relegated so i have no sympathy at all

can anyone now see beyond Bromley, Chelmsford, Billericay and Hampton and margate for the top 5.

 

Is it now a question of who finishes where.

I agree its the rules but still seems harsh 18 points compared to 10 for us for going into Administration.

Just being realistic as ever TA.

 

Any one of the top 5 would be pretty poor in what is in most cases a 3 win advantage away over the remaining games.

 

It does take some pressure of the top 5 aswell, so if anything i would not expect the top 5 to make the odd slip up against bottom half teams either now.(famous last words)

 

Just got to win it now though;as you get nothing but a ruined summer for losing in the play-offs

As much as i detest Aberdeen Football Club Wimbledon. I think the points deduction is a bit harsh but, I do not think they would have made the playoffs anyway.
