11 mins - Miller releases striker partner Mulley clean through with a lofted through ball, the keeper comes out of his area to challenge and Mulley gets there first. The two collide as the ball heads golawards, but not with enough pace to cause trouble for the covering defenders.

18 minutes - Jackson with a great double save as ETU break through down the right. Cross into the middle finds Gabriel who finds Jackson on him in a hurry to block his shot. The rebound falls to Holding who volleys close to Jackson to see the keeper save again, before Ansell blazes over from 10 yards.

Presumably there have been problems with the site. We lost five nil. Basically if we keep it tight and are in contention in the second half we have a chance of picking up points but if we fall behind quickly teams can take games away from us. Scorelines like that are very harsh on the players who are all trying their hardest.

Let's hope they can get their heads up for Saturday and we will have to try and get behind them from the first whistle.

once again it was a case of all effort, and unfortunately a lack of skill for this level. the players got the ovation they deserved that the end.

jacko and mills probably joint MOTM for me (again, despite the scoreline), jacko made some fantastic saves, and mills cleared at least 3 off the line. it could so easily have been much worse, but ETU werent exactly clinical finishers.

hopefully the lads can pick themselves up after this, a win at walton would raise spirits, and would distance us a little from the bottom spot.

Looking at the next eight games that will decide for certain whether or not we are going down. Those games are against teams in and around us. I think we will need a minimum of 5 wins from those 8. It is an incredibly tall order but our run of games after that are verging on the impossible. It is going to be a tough spell for all involved at the club, the players, supporters and management and I think we just have to try and stick together. If we go down provided we can take the current good spirits with us I think we can bounce back and survive as a club.

We are a confidence side though. With a lot of youngsters in the team I think they find it very hard when we fall behind. The crucial moments in the match were when Hale hit the bar and when Mulley's header was cleared off the line. Had we got it back to one-one I think we would have had a very different game on our hands.

I don't think there is much doubt about us going down in all honesty regardless of how well we do for the remainder of the season. Whilst we have some real six pointers coming up, we also have to face some of the better sides in the league and if ETU can stick five past us, and miss a hatful more, what could the likes of Hampton, Chelmsford, an on fire AFCW and co potentially do?

Regarding the above, yes, there were problems with the site all last night. I had all the updates going onto the laptop ready to put on the forum, but couldn't access it to put them on here sadly.

i think overall that everyone knows that relegation is coming...especially seeing as we cant beat the likes of ETU. it is my opinion that this club may be better off consolidating itself at the level below until a new ground can be found. i think its amazing that a homeless club without a major backer has survived at this level for as long as it has, and it seems that that luck may be running out now, which in the long run could be a good thing. the team we have now is, if we can hold onto most of the players, probably good enough to allow the club to settle in the southern/ryman 1.

Can we say a big thank you to the east thurrock manager. At the end of the game he came and shook the hands of slough supporters and said what a great bunch of fans we are. He said that at no point did he hear our fans moan at our players and that we were a credit to the club, and that the support was fantastic in such difficult circumstances. He did also say that east thurrock didn't have any fans, but I won't mention that!!!!

No doubt our brilliant supporters will outnumber walton fans by 3-1 on saturday and lets hope thats the final scoreline, in the rebels favour of course!

yeah i agree once we get back in Slough we will be able to attract better players and build on the squad we have.

A bit worried that we will struggle again next season though even in the league below. Considering Windsor have a half decent team and they are mid table.

Personally ARAAS, I think we would have been better off consolidating ourselves at this level whilst waiting to find a home rather than sliding any further down the pyramid. If we are relegated which seems fairly inevitable (but I still maintain hope) we will be playing at the lowest level in our history which is a very sad state of affairs. In no way can Wilko or any of the current crop of players be criticised for that and I hope that all or at least the vast majority stick around to help us get up next season.
