November Team of the Month

A bit late I know, but we only recieved the Trophy a couple of weeks ago and Ive just got round to sorting the pics out.

Very impressive.

For those who don't know, Kings Langley got the award for December.

Not surprised, they had an excellent December. I would have thought that Hertford have a decent chance of winning the January award HTFCew.

Maybe, but is it just on league results? We got knocked out of the Prem Div Cup in January. More likely to be Edgware, who won league cup games as well as all their league games.

 

Don't forget Harpenden either - the form team of the moment in Div One.

No, its on cup games as well (either that or we won it on the back of one result!), giving Hertford W 5 D 0 L 2, and given that one defeat was at home 0-1 to Barnet and the other a cracking (well at least sounds like it was) 3-4 loss at Oxhey Jets I would say it was a decent record.

 

Edgware played one more, they had a total record of W 5 D 1 L 2 so if its done on results alone they would pip you.

 

Harpenden only played 3 matches in January, two cup defeats (one 3-6 at home to Stony Stratford) and a league draw, however they are a shoe in for the February title after already beating the Brazil of Division One "away" from home last Friday

We did a quadruple two seasons ago and only won Team of the Month once, in the final month of the season. Prior to that, we hadn't had a single vote from a single committee member. I, therefore, have absolutely no idea what the award is based on.

 

AWK - What are Kings Langley like? We have them in the Herts Intermediate Cup semi on Saturday. I saw them against Markyate a few weeks back but that's not the sort of game to judge a team by.

Unfortunetly I wasn't at our game against them in December so I can't tell you a great deal about them, they are a decent Division 2 side but Im still surprised that they are doing so well at the moment, 10 wins in the last 11. I take it that it is your reserves that will be playing them?

If that was the case, we wouldn't have won the April/May one either!
