JP, I think that they re-grouped and started to try to revive old glories. They are still in the same place and it could be a decent set-up too. They got promoted as champs last season and are nicely placed in 3rd place at the moment.

 

Didn't Clacton just implode due to financial difficulties, started last season with a scratch side, kept on getting hammered each week but came through the tunnel and finished the season but for some reason didn't get relegated?? They are now 17/22 in the ECL Premier.

It could well be Beeswax, if they are on the same ground etc they could have a good opportunity of being a Ridgeons/ESL side within a few years maybe. Might have to pop along to a game then (sad groundhopper).

 

Clacton have 4 new owners now and seem to be moving in the right direction that's for sure, the club's below them are spending some big money but if they can keep picking up the points then they should see themselves safe.

Probably was Clacton too, but distinctly remember some upwardly mobile wannabe, going into Brightlingsea..I quite like the Clacton set-up..nice bar..mind you I remember the Old Road ground too...

Coachie, I don't think that's exactly the thoughts on what people think will happen. I think it's more a case of moving the Essex side's to the ESL, as listed in my post on there, and bringing some up from Division One.

OR making the top teams from the ESL, Ridgeons and UCL into a Step 4 league. I think!

Step 4 for 2007/8 is all sorted out now JP21 with 6 divisions into which 12 level 5's will link.
