I think they may get all the points taken away as a precedent was set with Altrinham last season, and everyone seems to be of the opinion that they will. But I agree that its likely they will lose less points than 18. I would like to hear the league's justification though should a lesser penalty be given!

 

On the same subject, it is in the NLP (on the front cover) that AFC Dons are to take The FA to the Court of Arbitration for Sport as they feel their punishment is too harsh. They've got a top lawyer whose giving his '£600-an-hour' services for free. With this also possibly happening to the Ryman League should the 18pts be taken away.

But in hindsight perhaps an 18 point penalty with them breathing so close to us in the table, is more fitting!

Have'nt a clue which way this will go.

 

As stated -by precendent-they should get the 18 point ban.

 

If they then appeal, the Ryman league may not be able to defend the court case and could go bankrupt if they do and lose.

 

Equally, the Ryman probably want to keep AFC in the Ryman for another season with the higher gates they bring, rather than lose them to the conference.

 

If they do get the points deducted, makes our task a bit easier.

 

At the same time, if we get promoted and AFC do not, we also lose out on a big Gate next season.

 

I simply have no idea how it will go,and neither do i really know what i would like to happen.

 

The one thing i think is certain is that the lawyers will win either way,it will not be concluded on Wednesday,and if AFC 'win' someone else will appeal against it; and if they lose, AFC will appeal.

 

Sort that one out
