Despite yesterdays disappointment at not getting the full 3 points.In spite of us getting a point back at the end when ALL 3 points seemed lost we have to take heart that the title is STILL in our OWN hands.A win on Tuesday puts us back on top.Our results can still win this league & not reliance on others,but no more slip ups please.We now have no more room for complacency.We have escaped last weeks reversal & yesterdays mixed emotions by still being in a massively strong position & we must take something from that & go on from here! Saturdays gone! Lets move on & concentrate on Tuesday. Back to the top on Tuesday.

totally agree cookie but mistakes have been made ant if this keeps happening we will not win it we must be more consistent

Only report on reality as i see it Cookie;and to concede 7 goals in two games is 'Park Football'-not semi-pro-and will not win titles, where its strong defences that invariably win you titles.

The attack should secure a play-off place, but yes-become greedy and want that title and definite promotion.

Conceding 7 goals in two games is pretty awful, we need to address this sooner rather than later.

What worries me is the teams all going for promotion seem to be hitting a decent run of form We however are now three points behind . with a game in hand. But two weeks ago we were five points ahead with one or two games in hand. I read on Bromleys forum Margate should have the title in the bag. Its only for them to lose it I hope this is not going to come true. Also we will be without two of our key players for three games at least, and at the moment we seem to be leaking goals.

No-ones denying that we are leaking goals & that it needs addressing,now,but the point I'm trying to make on this thread is that our position is still an enviable one.Whilst we have a few problems that need sorting out,& fast I agree,we are still in with a very good shout of winning this title,not just getting into the play-offs but winning it.We dropped 5 points & leaked a few goals in the process but despite this & until I see us relying on others loss of form rather than doing it for ourselves then I feel we should appreciate that our current position hasn't really deteriorated that much if at all..I'm also sure that those around us will drop points along the way too in a similar way that we have done recently despite some of them being in good form at this time. Heads up!

Afc should drop a few points in the near future and Hamptons run has to come to an end sooner rather than later , so i still think it will be down to either Bromley or ourselves for the title , but it has got to start now with Trotty putting out the best 11 he`s got for every game until seasons over .

 

This is the part of the season were the players have to really Knuckle down show every bit of Passion and skill they have and win us the league with grit and determination , you can`t talk about luck, from now on its in there hands to do it they no that and it has to start Tuesday with 3 points and hopefully a clean sheet . Up the Gate.

bromley and afc both have better squads (not better teams ) than us and it is a worry that injuries and suspensions will cost us the title

I'd say that our squad is also probably as good -if not better.

What Bromley and AFC appear to have done is prioritised and organised their defence, and its defences that win championships.

 

Danny will win/save us some battles, but the defence will win or lose the war.
