Well i've read most of the posts and quite frankly in lots of respects you give a fair reflection but quite honestly how anyone can suggest giving Protheroe the arm band must be potty. He got warmer in the warm up than on the pitch. He strolled around most of the second half without anywhere near enough effort. I said at 4-15 we are so slap dash they are going to score soon. We deserved to lose quite frankly and wiothout DH, Pinns and Trott(yes Trott) we would have lost. Shoddy second half. Still to get the critics out (of me and the team) I'm going to give some points out( its that teacher in me)

Ref first- The best i've seen this season - missed one hand ball.

Let the game flow was sensible in the lead up to our third goal and reacted calmly over the penalty and Steve Clarridge over the shirt business. 7

Mitten-- Not sure, think their second was his fault and i really think the backs have no confidence in him. 4

Oatsy- So much better than before xmas and played well until the flue got him. 7

Donavan- Slow and only any good at heading today.5

Skinner-- Still good at passing but 'skinned' by their sub. 6

Trott-- Good oportunist goal and defended well. Also would have scored the final goal but for the hand ball. 7

Protheroe- Well, sorry but poor. Lazy and only real contribution was two good corners which lead to goals. 4

Abbot- Don't know what it is about this boy but he has the ability but either lacks the bottle or it's confidence, i'm not sure . Got subbed. 4

Saunders--Well off the mark today - looked ill like Oatsy!! 5

Danny Hockton--Yep, not a captain. Great goals all three of them. The second excellent from an acute angle. 8

Pinns-- I love - him great running and trying. With a whole team like him we'd be in at least the conf proper. 9

Jackson--Took a bad knock but played well and had 3 shots blocked in second half. 7

Smith-- generally solid as sub. 6

Standen --Showed some useful touches. 6

Ah, my fine friend, I think your sum up of todays individual performances is about right. A good handful were not firing on all cylinders today and the most glaring change of form in my mind was Jay Saunders.

When he plays well we play well - he didn't really get going today.

I like the double posting of this thread, some might say it was a bit slapdash!

Abdullahhhhhhhhhh!
