Does this not prove that we do not now all of the facts about players level of fitness etc. Rather than complain that the manager is showing a positive or negative bias towards a player we should get our facts right first.

There are certain individuals on this forum (who claim that they are only expressing thier view) who openly savage certain players regardless of how they play.

Why do you continually exaggerate things Joseba.Read the posts & you will see that apart from certain personal opinions on formations & players playing or not playing no-one is putting down Trotty in what he has achieved this season.

Some disagreements may be with his choices but no way putting him down.As for particular players, criticism is given when a player is not playing well in the same way as it is when they are praised & on song & playing well.I cant see where anyone is "savaging" any player.Once again problems,if any, arise not from those that criticise but from those who wish to make an indirect dig at a particular or particular person/s by sensationalising & over-exaggerating peoples opinions & beliefs. It dosent mean they are right but its their opinion & they are entitled to air their views whether it suits you or not!

Without knowing the facts people are going to ask these questions, especially in the case of Scott when he is seen as active on the bench. Most people arent mindreaders you know!

Doesn't that always happen in Football, Rumours are abound and fans cast their opinion on what they are told or heard.

Some Fans like some kind of players others don't, just look at postings over Yiga, from everyones thoughts he is either Brilliant or Sh1te.

It is whats makes being a football fan great !!!!!

(or sh1te depending on your point of view)

Criticism can do damage to a players confidence and when you get people saying that a certain player is rubbish and things like that in a public message board isn't going to help their confidence. I hear people moaning at certain players on the terraces when they are having a bad game and this will not help at all I am all for constructive criticism though and i think that is what we should keep to on message boards and on the terraces. GETTING BEHIND THE TEAM HELPS A LOT MORE THEN SLAGGING THE TEAM OFF.

Yes we do Andy it it wont ever change.I would think that those that criticise,(me included),give whoever plays on the day the biggest lift they can be given when they are out there, no matter what their form no matter what the criticism was before.

If Trotty picks them then we have to go with that.

Do you see what I mean about those critising the critics. Leads to disruption & bad feeling, much more than just accepting someones view.

i.e I for one like Abbot a lot & have all the time in the world for him.I certainly don't dislike the man. Far from it in fact. On his day he is as good as anyone but the fact is he is not showing it.It shouldn't stop me from expressing my views on his form, good or bad! Its there for all to see anyway on the pitch, its not a secret. But some like to comment on it thats all. No big deal...unless someone wants to make a bigger deal out of it than is actually intended.

Another example of this is where a few posts above Alex speaks in terms of people saying a player is "rubbish". I'm sure people aren't saying that at all.Merely believing that the player isn't doing himself or the team justice in his current form.Certainly no-ones meaning to say he's "rubbish". An exaggeration yet again.

The bad spell we had earlier in the season was a bad time on the forum with quite a few insults thrown at players and in particular Robin , with the Trotty out topic , anyone remember that one.

I think SSS has hit the nail on the head though , the club don`t give the fans the info that they need to know , if they did then alot of the topics would`nt become so serious .

I think there was another poster yesterday who said they had(also) been talking to Scott and he told them that he had been fit for the last two weeks !!

I'm sure this forum provides an endless source of amusement alot of the time to the players to hear our uninformed ramblings and often pathetic attempts to play Ron Manager; but its what the forum is all about;and is accepted by most as nothing more than that.

In all of our hearts though is that as Cookie implies above,is our deep seated desire for success; and i'm sure that also gets through.

Neither are the supporters stupid, and can see the problem areas.I think most would agree though that the solution is usually never that simple for reasons unknown.

Accepting that our manager is part time, a simple statement that certain players are injured or whatever, may dampen speculation.

Ooh, has Ron Manager got his boots? Can he play Tuesday night? With the forthcoming crop of suspensions he could be valuable!

Abdullah the pathetic!

the fans feel the same way about the club at the end of the day as much as the players ,Jay & Proths had there spat on the pitch , we all have ours from time to time , both of these = Passion for the club and its future , there is nothing wrong with that except when someone will step over the line with a stupid remark knowing it will kick off trouble.
