As much as I would not tell anyone how to do their job, you have got to become more ruthless!!!

You must pick teams that are going to WIN not just the players who are in your good books.

Players have spats - get over it - this shows how much passion they have, don't penalise them just cos they have a handbag fight!

If there is nothing wrong with Scott, why the hell is he not in goal???

I stood at Harrow today with many others in disbelief as we threw a vital set of points away. If it wasn't for that last minute penalty, things would have been worse.

My observations -

SCS in goal

Someone other than Danny Hockton as Captain - let him do what he's best at, scoring goals.

Let common sense rule your decisions not any sense of loyalty!

And for f**ks sake - make sure we go up!

My comments and observations are my own and bear no relation of any other opinions! So please don't take it personally!!!

Possibly - am not wholly into the 'politics' of Robins decisions. Am just stating my observations!

I am neither slagging Robin off as player or manager. I think he has done a fine job in both roles (today was a prime example - a very good performance plus a great goal!) just some of his choices are bewildering!!

You always expect a Manager to make a few bewildering decisions;and we will never agree with them all; but surely we are not all wrong over the goalkeeping issue.

It's not CM's fault, and if SCS were to leave, we would be totally behind CM ;but its simply that everyone it seems, excepting RT knows SCS to be the better goalkeeper;and we want (and pay to see) the best team.

Again, its not just on one game, but a series of games.

RT lost us those points today with his team selection.

I hope he wins us the remaining 16 games with his team selections and wish him well

I agree totally MM. My first post was my observation and opinion and you're quite right in what you say. I have always liked Charlie - he has been an excellent keeper and has done us proud on many occasions but lately he has lacked something and really Scott should have been keeping goal.

I wouldn't make Danny captain bacause, as he was today, way too quiet. He is an excellent striker - yet another hat-trick today but as a captain he lacks the 'stuff' to keep the side motivated when we start conceeding or playing badly.

I reckon the captains armband should go back to Proths.

He's 'served time' and i reckon would be really motivated now to lead the team to promotion.

Pitches are getting firmer which will suit Proths and he is probably our most creative midfield player.

He led us to relegation safety last year ,and would now lead us to promotion i'm sure.

It's a little deeper than that RM!! Don't want to bore you with the details but lets say that most of us have different team/captain selections to the manager!!!

I personally feel that Danny should be left to do what he's very good at - scoring goals.

Would'nt be so bad if it was explained as to why certain decisions are being made.

We may not agree, but would at least understand.

Meanwhile, we are still 3rd, and i now think we will make the play-offs,which is more than i expected at start o the season; so great stuff RT and thanks.

Like you ,we just want it to be better still ;and are frustrated that it is'nt

Now as far as i know SCS has a trapped nerve in his ankle. There are a few decisions that Trott has made that are a bit bewildering, but at times these have worked. I think Trott's decisions were not the reason to why we didn't win today it was the fact that in the second half the players stopped playing.

I don't care if DH scores 5 or none.

I just want to see the Gate winning and not conceding.

The irony is that had we have drawn nil -nil; i think we would have siad its a professional performance, but a 4-4 draw is sloppy.

I don't think a striker can lift the players around him so much simply because of the relatively isolated position in which h plays.

I heard today that SCS had not recovered from an ankle injury picked up when he was involved in a car crash after returning from America, but I'm not sure if he was fit or not today? If he is, I think SCS must be in goal on Tuesday.

DH being captain does not seem to be affecting himself too much, but while I think about it Hockton will regularly be further up the pitch and so not able to motivate/encourage other players. This is not a criticism though of DH or RT. Hockton btw was my man-of-the-match today.

I do not agree that RT's selection lost us the game today as the team performed brilliantly in the first half today, getting three goals, hitting the post and crossbar once along with other chances. We seemed to just run out of steam/effort and underestimated Harrow in the second half. This ultimately meant that we sloppily (almost stupidly) and frustratingly dropped two valuable points.

But overall our hopes are not gone yet, there are still three months to go and a lot will happen between now and then and we are still at this moment in a great position.

Up the Gate!
