FINALLY... We have been recognised by BBC!

BBC News South East have finally done a piece on Gravesend & Northfleet this evening.

They were talking about the situation with the Trophy and that we are now the favourites to win it.

There were also interviews with Ross Smith, Liam Daish and Roly Edwards, plus camera shot at Fleet Leisure and the Fleet training.

Where have you ben hiding? Somewhere without electricity or television? Tonight's excellent piece was the second to be done by BBC Newsroom South East in two months. The last was the night before we played Havant & Waterlooville away in the Trophy. Give credit where it is due to BBC Radio Kent and BBC Newsroom South East who give us more than our fair share of coverage, and credit to the club for the work that is going on behind the scenes to raise the profile of GNFC.

Now do your bit - bring a mate.

Pity they can't go that little bit further and actually tell people what our result was on a Saturday evening.

Also BBC London always carry Fleet news on page 390. Can anyone tell me if BBC Newsroom South East do? Today they have details of an interview with John Keeling.

I was probably out that night - sorry!
Believe me I do try to persuade mates from school to come along, I probably ask 8-12 of my mates to go.

And for all those like Chatham Gary who cant be at Stonebridge Road today (and shame on you if you cant) Lord Webster and i will be giving full match updates throughout the afternoon on Matt Davison's Saturday Sport...

We had hoped to do web commentary but "FA regulations" mean that we're not allowed to broadcast the whole game... but stay tuned during the afternoon it promises to be a very special afternoon indeed!

But all that to one side for a moment, LETS ALL GET BEHIND LIAM AND THE BOYS AND GET THEM INTO THE LAST EIGHT!

Here we go again ! I CAN'T be at today's game either , BECAUSE I'M AT WORK , earning the crust that supports my family . Am I ashamed of myself , Greenie ? NO - I bought my season ticket in August so the club have my money whether I attend every home game or not . I can't attend for two Saturdays out of ten , so for me working last week and this it is a real bummer if the Fleet are at home on those two days . How nice to be paid to attend , whichever Kent team you're commentating on - I'm only interested in one team , and I definitely could never be impartial towards them ! COME ON YOOOOO REEEEEDS !

I'm sure Greenie meant its a shame for those of you who cant make it, and/or shame on those who could come along, but cant be bothered!

What team will we play today, anyway?

I guess theres likely to be only the straight swap of Sodje or Varney (likely the former) for Moore. If Keeling is fit, I guess he'll be on the bench - if not, the new guy could be on the bench.

Last minute circumstances mean I can't go either, so you're not alone.

A little scumbag from Swanscombe was visiting friends/family next door, here in Dartford. He was playing? with his brother in the street at the front of the house, when he threw a stone at him, missed and smashed my offside drivers window. I phoned RAC Window Repairs, but because of their incompetence, they didn't send the details to the local dealers in Crayford until 9 last night. It's now nearly 24 hours since I reported it and still no repair.

The scumbags dad has said he'll pay, but it still means I haven't seen us play in the Trophy yet this season.

mad mad mad

Mcshane played for Worksop earlier in the competition, so is cup tied.

Sam did well despite being clattered a couple of times and made 1 vital save at 2-1. My heart was in my mouth when he went down after the second challenge though - it would have been nervewracking to use the PASE goalkeeper for the last 20 minutes.

I guess Sam is likely to play in the quarter final as well as it would be touch & go as to whether Lance will be fit by then, I guess.

It looked as if they were putting Lance through a fitness test, before yesterdays game. so never say never
