For Brentwood's last game at Barkingside (1-1) Brentwood brought in a new signing up front, Trevor Paul. Very strong, bustling player and, maybe like many a new player out to make an impression, did not on that day seem to give much priority to linking up and team play.

On the evidence of that day there seemed to be little justification to play him ahead of Michael Begg and Sean Thomas both of whom must be puzzled as to what they have to do to get regular selection - especially Michael Begg with his high work rate.

If Carl Griffiths has left Brentwood it is a big blow. I enjoyed watching him at Orient and at Brentwood

trevor paul matey with amin so basically they have carried on signing all the old aveley boys!!! cracking.
