sid and I do updates for the games on saturdays....if someone wants to join in from canvey we'll update ours and your forum during the game...pm me if you want to join in and I'll send my mobile no.....we have sudbury and enfield town both involved...as the season unfolds it could be good viewing for those that can't get to games..

Manage to get to most games but this afternoon I was working over near Blackfriars.

 

I was only able to get the final 10 minutes but it was great having the service - I saw the update for Lucks goal and had to get back to work - didn't know they equalised in the 90th minute until I got home.

Work is starting to get a pain in the [****!!****] and I had to miss the game again on Saturday against Ilford.

 

I got home and booted up the PC and sat in anticipation of reading a blow by blow account of the Ilford game which had anotehr 10 minutes to go.

 

The updates on the website are a great idea - have they been abandoned or is there still technical difficulties in getting them working?

No technical problems. Charlie usual does the updates, so they can only be done when he's available. If anybody else would like to do these on the games that Charlie cannot make then let me know.

I seem to be missing quite a few games recently due to work commitments - I'm certainly not a 100%er and found the updates a great idea.

 

What does Charlie have to do - how does it work?

 

If it's texting messages I'd be crap at it. By the time I'd typed a text in the first 5 minutes we'd be approaching half time!

It's all done on laptops. I bought a Vodafone portable modem that allows us to go online anywhere. The templates are all set out, it's just a case of adding any relevant info as the game goes on.

 

Not much fun mind, you miss quite a lot of the action when you're busy typing!
