Kentish Town v Harpenden - Kick off time?

Recommended Posts

It's 7.45 with an option for Referee Mr Campbell to delay it to 8.00 if there are Friday evening traffic problems on the M1, I have told our players to leave extra early or preferably take the Thameslink from Kings Cross to Harpenden.

See you tomorrow night then, I'm afraid I will have to charge you to get in as we have to cover the Officials fees as well as a charge Harpenden are making for ground and floodlight use. You do get a 74 page programme though included in the admission price of Hello and OK magazine proportions.

Good grief man, I wasn't expecting to get in free!

Well as everyone on here, apart from you it seems, knows I like to look after Forum members and would normally waive the admission on production of id at the turnstile if I don't know that person by sight, that's the sort of guy I am.

In all seriousness Rhodes, I'm very much of the opinion that every penny counts at our level of football. I normally turn freebies down as I know that clubs need every penny they can get to keep their clubs alive. As a board member of the Hendon FC Supporters Trust I am very much aware of this.

Well that's very admirable, I'm impressed however I don't mind the occasional good will gesture and you seem like a decent guy, Hendon Football Club have helped us at the end of the day for which we are very grateful.

Potters Bar Town - Were your ears burning tonight as Jeff Barnes showed up at our game. No sign of SteveR although I wasn't that surprised knowing that he would have to buy me a pint, I came armed especially with all the evidence of the Worldwide publicity we have given Hendon Football Club which was a wasted effort.

SteveR - Why didn't you come over and introduce yourself, are you a shy person, I wasn't serious about the pint if you didn't want to buy me one.

Surely Rhodes, as secretary, would be known to the club at which his club have such a high profile, world renowned, groundshare? Also he's a dead ringer for Basil Fawlty!

Well I have to say that that's a pretty lame excuse as the attendance was only 20, anybody would have told you who I was like the guy on the gate for example, I've been told that I'm a dead ringer for Rodders in Only Fools and Horses. Did you get a programme by the way.

3praise - Very amusing, I admit I'm no Bradd Pitt but lets get Paula's opinion if she can tear herself away from her new man, Paula over to you love.
