Morecambe reduced prices

Recommended Posts

For anyone who hasn't seen today’s Messenger, the club have reduced their prices for the game v Morecambe.

Well done to the club for showing this great incentive. This is a potential "Play Off six pointer" so could well attract a few of the locals who have watched from a far.

I had a few mates down on Saturday who both said they enjoyed it. One is a Charlton Season ticket holder who may come when Charlton aren't playing and the other brought his son down and will be looking to do the same for the remainder of the season.

Although I agree that these pro active ways of getting crowds up , it doesnt take many promotions to get to the point where season tickets are not actually good value.

Saying that , this is the first such promotion . Blackburn however have season ticket holders paying more then if they had paid on the day . Hate to see us go down that line.

Maybe the club could use a cup game for a half price entry for season ticket holders.

Not allowed I'm afraid unless the opposition agree as they would have to accept a reduction in their share.

Season ticket holders are getting an extra match this year with Halifax 2 (The return of the fork) so even with a free match they would be no worse off.

My point may be a little out of context. There was an interestign item on Talksport a while back.

Blackburn have some serious issues around player budgets for next season.

The reason is that a lot of season ticket holders are indicating they will not renew but stay as members to gain guranteed tickets for each game and then use the many offers that seem to be in place at Blackburn. I seem to recall entrty to two premiership games were £15 and £17.50.

What the fans are saying up there is "Why should we buy a season ticket if we cna spend the same or less throughout the season"

The issue comes when clubs need a big influx of cash in the pre season period.

I wouldnt like ot see all the hard work doneby the club come to nothing by too many offers. Its a fine balance between the two
