My opinion...again. If I was them then no, not unless there was a good reason. experienced players like those two are like gold dust and have a lot to give a squad of young players, as well as playing.

 

I can't speak for either the manager or the players but in Hodges case, the pitches are quite heavy at the mo and don't suit the style he likes to play...Beacuse of the conditions, I think our style has gone a bit long ball - but for good reason. When the weather improves, the football will take a different style and both players will be utilised. I think it is a credit to both the management team and the players themselves that this season we can adapt to the conditions as well as the opposition.

 

And both players are still a part of the first team squad and still have a part to play this season...

Agreed that there games aren't necessarily suited to the pitches at the moment. Although Hodges in his brief cameo's has looked good.

 

It's testament to the management that we have such quality senior players and youngsters as Hill, Hodges, Swaine, Worster, Holland, etc who we can call upon and are capable of performing at this level.

Bench Warmers, of course their not Happy, our Manager touched on this point in Last Saturdays program notes.

Warren Ryan was a different situation, the Manager was very disappointed that Warrens game ratio was just 1 in 2, everyone wanted more from him, I'm sure if he had made himself available more often, he would have had a lot more games.

Does any one know what his start ratio is for Heybridge and how they have done since he joined them?

I read on the Isthmian Forum that he was on the bench against Slough last weekend and angered supporters by dropping his shorts in front of them, allegedly. What odds on a dismissal or two between now and the end of the season?
