Horsham v Slough Town

Horsham deserved the win but 4-0 was certainly harsh on us. We ran out of legs in the second half after the sucker punch of two quick goals plus the efforts of Saturday.

Captain Burger was first to the sandwiches and pork pies in the bar afterwards and thanked the supporters for their support.

Without Daly at the back and forced to play Steve Hale in defence we were always going to be up against it. Wilko put in a lionheart performance as always and I feel for the boys today because 4-0 was not what they deserved. Oh well, onto Saturday.

And whoever sets up the diversion near Dorking, thank you very much for giving me a twilight tour or rural Surrey. What a joke that was!

I thought we played pretty well and the scoreline flatters them. They scored in patches. The two at the end were just counter attacks as we pressed forward. Their first goal was extremely well taken but after a huge stroke of fortune. Their guy was just making a forward run and the ball that tried to pick him out hit him on the back. Could have fallen anywhere but fell at his feet.

Wilko was magnificent in midfield, Miller is leading the line superbly and Craig Price had an excellent game at full back. Hale did a great job filling in at centre half and was unfortunate to be booked early on. I also thought Symon James showed signs of promise playing right wing. With George and Daly to come back into that side I think we can get a few more results this season.

Yeah the diversion was great fun. Particularly when we arrived at the point where the whole of the A24 was closed to find a van full of men in orange jumpsuits sleeping. I also thought it was great that when we got to some shitty little town that the diversion pointed us back in the direction we came from.

yes come away thinking ..the lads did not deserve to be beaten 4 nil..had some chances so not all gloom and doom....

really annonyed at they keeper , quite clearly tried to get Terry Davis sent off ! it was 50/50 ball and Terry was a good 2 feet clear of him yet he made jestures he was fouled ! hate cheats and he really was...a cheat...even make sounds effects he quite clearly forgot his equity card...

despite how the season goes on forward ..I am quite amazed that our away supports seams to be getting bigger and bigger..teams at the top don't travel in numbers (except wimbledon) and certainly dont run supporters coaches...so happy to be a rebel...(a slough one)

chris s !!!!!!!
