We knew a result today wasn't going to be likely, which makes it more important that the next 4 games are won or drawn. Gaining points against the teams around us is crucial.

4-0 flattered them in the end, but they deserved the win. First half saw them having more of the play, but we looked quite dangerous on the break though. They had a goal ruled out as did we through John Hind. Both the right decisions.

 

Second half we started very brightly and were having our best spell of the match. Miller had a great chance to open the scoring, but the keeper saved it.

 

Soon after they opened the scoring and about a minute later they added a freakish second. When our heads were down the added a third on 88 mins and fourth in injury-time.

 

Hale forced to play centre back tonight with Daly missing. Just hope Wilko can get a couple of 'older' heads in as we need some experience at the moment.

 

Team: Jackson, Price, Mills, Hale, Donovan, Nsubuga, Wilko (Sulieman), Davies, James, Miller (Captain), Hind. Not Used: Bartley, Perrineu-Daly.

I thought we played well again last night, it was definately not a 0-4 type of game. Although we definately lacked pace up front.

 

I thought Hale had a good game in defence.

 

 

On talking to the players afterwards, they felt that the first goal was about a foot offside. Being up the striking end, I couldn't tell.

 

Oh, and Mat really loves his new "Captain Burger" chant...NOT. Terry's one went down really well.

 

They also mentioned how much of a boost the non stop chanting was last night. (Even if a certain Horsham "fan" thought otherwise).
