Taunton game thread 30/1/07

Thought it was a very good game between 2 quite well matched sides. We probably had the better of it but they had a very good defence and looked capable of scoring. All in all not to disappointed by the result. I look forward to the return game at the end of the season. It could be a massive game for both teams.

Without the benefit of seeing saturdays win it's hard for me to judge last nights performance.

Given our lack of games, the sandpit and the defensive strengths of the opposition i'll go for a fair point given the circumstances.

We looked a different team during Terry O'Connors brief run out though and he should be given a better opportunity at Bracknell.

a good game and one we probably deserved to win considering that taunton failed to create any really good chances. they set out aiming for a draw and they ultimately got 1. taunton were perhaps one of the few negative teams that we have seen this season, and they were obviously aimimg to hold out and possibly nick a goal on the counter attack.

chenns and case played very well as did the whole of the back 4. ifura from the reserves looked very assured and he would appear to be a good player for the coming years.

A lot of people have worked hard on getting it into a state where your beloved windsor can play on it!

Any more knocking of the pitch zoom and I will have to set up a poll (which works) to have you banned from posting on this forum!

Get a speak and spell bought for christmas did we?

Good to see the fence has been repaired, along with the roofing of the tea hut - or are you waiting for slough to repair it for you?

The state of stag meadow just goes to show how much support windsor gets from its fans in looking after the ground!

When was the last time that jezdog and zoom were at the ground fixing it up? - not for a while by the looks of it!

One positive today is that some of the sand has been removed where the pitch is recovering.

Staines rebel i didn't see you helping out when Dom and Chris Silski ( Sorry if i spelt it wrong had a few jars ) joined some of us windsor fans in the summer. Besides it's up to the club to ask for help.

The fence at the park end is beyond repair and will therefore be replaced. I don't know if you actually noticed SR1 that we did have some extremely windy weather recently and, therefore, most fencing contractors are extremely busy at the moment as well as materials being in short supply! Also, for your information, not one grain of sand has been removed from the pitch!
