I have heard they are looking for someone to fill the roll on a permanent basis, HTFCew has done a great job since before Jim stepped down with the emails etc but if Hertford get promoted I don't know how keen she would be to continue. I can imagine that it is a thankless task most of the time.

I would imagine a very large crowd of over 1000 will be at Hornchurch for their game with you tomorrow, seeing they won the league away yesterday.

Paula - Can you remind me how to get to Bridge Avenue, is it the tube to Upminster, turn left out the station and then ten/fifteen minutes walk.

I am more than happy to take the job on next season, I will leave no stone unturned and the SSML will be the talk of the town in no time, who do I apply to although I know of one Premier Division Club in particular that wouldn't be overly keen on me getting the job.

AWK - I'll liaise with HTFCew when she gets back after Easter but like I said I'm sure there will be an objection to me applying for the job from a little corner of N17 to quote the great and late Brian Butler in his classic radio commentaries.

Thats a good idea Rhodes, I'm sure that should HTFCew want to do it in a more permanent basis then the SSML committee would be more than happy for her to do so.

With regards to the other matter, I don't see why any club would have a problem with you doing a bulletin, after all the bulletin is in the best interests of the SSML and all its clubs and only contains factual information. Unless you are going to add you own comments of course..... grin

AWK - Well it's tempting but you don't know this particular Club, if I helped a little old lady to cross White Hart Lane they would find fault in it.

There's hardly any chance of Hertford being promoted, I'm afraid. We will finish third now, even if we miraculously beat Harefield twice. I think that the league will want HTFCew to continue her excellant work.

Well that probably goes without saying but will she want to, it's a bit of a thankless task.

I didn't say I did want it.

Did you not post this earlier? In any other world than Rhodesworld, that would be construed as saying you want it!

Whichever of these posts you claim is true, clip Rods, the other must be a LIE. And that must make you a LIAR. You asked for proof the other day, so there you go.

The first statement I made didn't say categorically that I wanted the job for next season, merely that I would be prepared to consider it and that there would obviously be certain factors at stake first such as whether HTFCew would want it if Hertford Town remained in the SSML and whether there would be an objection from a certain Premier Division Club incase there happened to be mysterious postal go slows in Cheshunt and Nazeing on Monday mornings and problems with sending the results by e-mail to certain accounts on the distribution list. Lets see what happens anyway.

HTFCew - And the rest, our programme for the Ampthill Town game on Saturday is likely to reach 88 pages and for our last fixture of the campaign against Stony Stratford Town on 21 April I'm planning a bumper edition of over 100 pages to go out in style particularly as a crowd of over 150 is expected. Incidentally was there no bulletin this week.
