Is Jim Bean OK?

Can anybody confirm that Jim is OK - I don't get the bulletin direct but people tell me they haven't seen one for a few weeks and nothing has been posted on the SSML website since 30 December.

Nothing has been posted on the Haringey Borough Website since August but that doesn't mean John Bacon is at deaths door, Jim will out live all of us. I don't quite see the point of this thread.

You didn't see the point of a similar thread when I asked about the lack of contact from Jim a couple of weeks ago either. Shows what sort of person you are.

 

Bar last Saturday's result, the Haringey site is up to date - you must be looking at an old site.

Well what sort of person do you think I am. A few results on the site might have been half heartedly put be up but what about the information such as what the players have for their breakfast which hasn't been updated since August.

When will forthcoming fixtures appear on the Kentish Town website? Even tomorrow's proposed thrashing at Brimsdown isn't shown in the fixture list yet. You may not know where every February game is going to be played yet, but you could at least put the games on the website so that both your supporters can plan their diaries.

I don't use the Website for the fixtures, I use the Forum which was down for maintenance the last time I looked, all the fixtures, match reports and other information about 'the messiah' for example are on there as I think you are already fully aware.

What on earth do you use the website for then? First place most supporters will look for fixture details for their club is their clubs website - not a broken down forum.

SteveR - welcome to the Rhodes Appreciation Society! Having read his convoluted logic about "hiding" the team line-ups in the programme to make people read the adverts, and not "spoonfeed" them by placing team information in a convenient location, it comes as no suprise to me that he would apply the same thought process to this topic! Truth is, HE doesn't have the password to update the website - I wonder why?

Horace - Our Website and Forum are two completely different animals, as you say someone else has responsibility for the Website so it's out of my control however I can access the Forum 24/7 which is why it's updated by the second, sorry micro second. I think it's the usual case of if you want something doing do it yourself which applies to everything in life.

I do understand the difference between a website and an internet hosted forum. I was aware that you could access the forum (like anyone else who cares to!) but it comes as no surprise that they won't let you touch the club's official website!

Because if the sort of stuff you post on the forum was repeated on the site proper, you would embarrass the club beyond belief!

Rhodes, in case you've forgotten (although we all know you're just turning a blind eye to facts that you don't like), you were told many, many times to tone down the Haringey website, failed to do so and found yourself having to find another club!
