A good win for us as we were without The Sway due to a hamstring injury. We played well against a useful outfit and I can see why they are doing so well. They kept the ball well and passed it around neatly albeit without penetration and most of their possession was in their own half. However they did tend to over elaborate a little and we scored neat goals from George Mapes and Chris Henry to give us a 2-0 lead. Oxhey pulled one back with ten to go but we hung on to record a great victory.

absolutely Horace...three wins and a draw, and only two goals conceded which as you know for us is a minor triumph!!

From what i know of Shane, he would have given the lads a right blast over the 7-1 and it appears to have done some good! Oxhey are a good side, so again, well done tonight!

I think we've had some specialist defensive coaching and it seems to be paying dividends. To say Shayne was unhappy about the 7-1 is of course an understatement (or the sort of think Mark Lawrenson might say!) but we've had some new players in since then and they have mad a difference while the lads that have been playing all season have raised their game accordingly. Hopefully it can continue but it would be nice to try and string some good results together and move up the table. Oxhey are a good team and I was impressed by them although they lacked composure in front of goal at times.

 

I see you've got Leverstock tomorrow Horace...that could be a good game. As gavin said elsewhere though you really need a win

I do believe so. Can't really gauge him as a player though yet as he's had two brief sub appearances.
