Sounds like Tommy Laws, who was a reserve/youth team player at West Ham. Last I heard he was at East Thurrock Utd. I think he's around the 21 yrs old mark.

 

Oh yeah, he is a Centre Half!

 

Excerpt from the ETU website: 08/12/06:

 

We have also recruited a couple of defenders with Marcel Nugent joining from Maidenhead and Tommy Laws signing also from Dagenham. Both featured in the Reserves 4-0 win at Burnham last Saturday. Both have experience from pro-football with Tommy having played some 50 games for West Ham's Reserves.
