Question

I would like to feel like most that slatts is predominantly a midfield playes yes ?

I also realise that we have to have players on the bench to cover for others for injuries. yes

But would most of you not agree, that slatts in general makes a very poor defender?

We had a very good defender sitting on the bench,.

So my question is why was James Smith not playing?

It must be better to play a person who plays that position natrualy, than use a stand in, then bring on a natural if the stand in gets hurt,or does not come up with the goods.Unless sSmith had a injury. it seemed a strange desicion in my eyes.

Slatts plays wing-back at the moment though, and James Smith isn't really a natural wing-back either.

With the personnel we have, 3-5-2 shouldn't really work, but while it's getting results it's understandable that Daish is reluctant to change formation.

Slatter was playing wide midfield/wingback. There is no way on God's earth you could expect James Smith to play there.

From what I see Slatts had no idea where he was playing at times, and a few of our players had to have quiet word with him.
