A. Yes I am and

B. I dont know of many grounds where you dont pay extra to sit.Even taking a rough guide of 50% as kids.oaps, and students which in itself is debatable and your net fig of ONLY £32000 .....well I think the point has been proved.

All I will say about those big city clubs is that if I'd had £1.7m to spend on a ground and hundreds of thousands lent to me interest free, I would want to be a hell of a lot closer to the pitch!

A statement which displays the complete misunderstanding of the position we are in and the hard work individuals put in to get us back to our own ground, and in the future, if not this season to push on..........at least its new, needs no imediate investment and not short of a lick of paint and crowd (debateable point) area's full of metal moth..............its jealousy that you keep raising it I do think bootyshake

....and niether do you...

And nor do many conference sides..........or Ryman sides!!!!

However, 2 ways to look at this subject...

1.own a ground and then mortgage it to the hilt to make progress especially when you want to increase player buget or make ground improvements.....we've done that. Including some unworthy owning the lot to boot and then selling it off for developement of flats.

2.or let someone else own it but can develope it as funds become available and commit the funds where you need it with little liablities on the ground. No ground liabilities and more dollar for other liabilities....can't be many more secure leases then those off the council who are happy to attract all those grants and cash for other sports.......

So a pretty silly and flipant remark......Mr Swift

Do you think that Chelmsford spend more than £1250pw more than us on players then? I would guess they have quite a hefty wage budget, wot with all them conference players, but i wouldn’t be able to put a figure on it.

I don't know what they spend, and to be honest it doesn’t really matter. One of their fans who does seem to be well up on Chelmo affairs took great delight in quoting them as many thousands of pounds per week higher than us, it doesn’t matter if he was right or not, what one club spends in relation to another is their business, each club has the right to spend whatever they want.

But I do think it is important that clubs spend within their means, and that the club and fans get a fair return on that spend, i.e., value for money. If every club can achieve this, whatever their results or League position, then the majority of fans will be happy. Winning is great, we all want that, but to go for it at any cost can lead to all sorts of problems, Billericay are familiar with that senario.

It's no different to running, say, a restaurant, supply good food at reasonable prices and you will have a good business with happy customers. .

Well thats what I think anyway.

Of course gate money doesn't necessarily scale with increased crowds... I recall one match at home to Aldershot where we actually made less money that we would have done with a run-of-the-mill league game at the time because we had to pay out for stewerds/police and we weren't able to open the bar at half time, and whilst success brings in more money it also brings bigger bills as you move up the divisions!

I don't think it's any coincidence that their slump in form coincided with fat jeff taking a holiday in america... And his decision to go with a squad clearly lacking strength in depth in key areas has left him brutally exposed... Still, you pays your money!

I think we would all agree with that so why keep bringing it up then and directing your comments to Chelmsford????...strange frown

Again you have completely missed the point, my original post was aimed at Billericay supporters, and was about how I feel we are getting good value for money. Yes my thoughts were prompted by one of you lot, but my post wasn't about Chelmsford.
To be honest I did consider not posting as I knew some of you guys would misinterpret, but then I decided I should be able to post what I wish on our forum, and if you chose to ignore certain words in my post, so be it.

As for my second post, I was answering Jim, not to dissimilar to me answering you, he asked I answered, you asked I answered.

Let me make this clear, What Chelmsford do is up to them, It really doesn’t bother me one way or t’other. If you choose to misinterpret my meaning that’s up to you.
