Heybridge v Slough Town

Still cant belive it - a cracking result (not talking about Liams mate!)

Great support all the way, and the celebration after the first goal where all the players went over to the bench and involved Sir Wilko of Slough in the celebrations showed just how much it means to them.

It was commented that it was like a FA cup game in its atmospher, and in some ways it is as if it is a hurdle that needed to be achieved as part of the move forward.

We are now only 1 goal behind W&H on goal difference and same points - how nice it would be to move off bottom - if only on GD!

Great performance by the team, but as for a man of the match I think our keeper Jackson kept us in touch - glad Drake is not playing for us any more as we would have lost by a mile.

Brilliant result, for me George was MOM, he ran his heart out. KT was great at keeping us chanting, my throat is killing me today. It was non stop chanting in the second half.

Well Done, especially as I had money on it at 6/1 for us to win.

COME ON REBELS

Wilko's Rebel Army

I thought today that Heybridge thought that they just had to turn up to get the 3 points. They seemed to go into shock when Terry equalised. I know I went into shock. And then when we went 2-1 up you could see the embarrassment on their faces. But full credit to a Slough side that never gave up and worked their socks off all afternoon. It has been ages since we caused a team so many problems when going forward. I briefly spoke to Mr & Mrs Alexis and asked them if they had changed their allegiance, they said it was the first time Michael had played for several weeks. I secretly think they were glad Slough won. It seems as though Wilko has already instilled that never say die attitude in the team. Full credit to every Slough player, The Manager and all the travelling fans who went today. Magnificent!

Lets not all get carried away....we must consolidate and not lose at Horsham on Tuesday..if we stay strong and battle like we did yesterday , we will start to get some results...and the 1st Time yesterday we got some important breaks in the box and had some luck for a change !

However the important thing yesterday the lads played with courage and determination...and the supporters behind the goal were deffo the 12th man !!

incredible result and on the second half display fully justified..

well done...to all...up the Rebels..

In a season of so many low points and only a couple of highs I think every Slough fan is entitled to milk this occasion regardless of where we finish in the league. I'm still buzzing as well.

It was awesome second half - it was as if the equalising goal gave everyone confidence and that enabled us to pull off a remarkable result. When they equalised to make it 2-2 I thought the result would only go one way but the way we battled and scrapped and clung on after going ahead we deserved the three points. The team was magnificent. I thought George had a storming game, Terry took his chances well and Miller and Hale look a useful combination up front. Let's try and carry that atmosphere into tomorrow's game and see what happens.

Well done to the Rebels on your fantastic result at Heybridge. Hope you can get a decent run going and avoid relegation before joining the mighty Magpies in the Southern Premier next season for some proper local derbies!

ohmigod....

can't believe it - what an amazing result - well done to all the rebels - god how amazing...

I realise that i haven't been to many away games recently, this has mainly been to do with the fact that I'm suffering a cash flow shortage of late... but god am i gutted to have missed that one...

Bravo one and all, wish i'd been there to see it
