U18s Kent FA Cup

Reading reserve thread it`s not looking good for this weekends HOME game for the U18s 4th rd tie v Thamesmead who beat Welling 3-1 on Thursday night. Having just lost to Thamesmead in the quarters of the PLAAYA Cup Margate MUST and WILL be at their best to progress. In the cold light of day the team did not do themselves justice last week despite one or two players puting in solid performances. Puting aside that a couple of key players are away I feel that Margate are well able to beat Thamesmead. However, my one voice from the touchline gets lost on the wind and it would be nice to have some help cheering the young Blues on. See You There!

Went over to watch Rams u18 v Faversham. Messy game, messy pitch but the game went on!

Ramsgate slowly took Faversham apart, I left at 6-0 with 5 mins to go. The bottom line in this is that this was Rams game in hand over Margate and now, for the first time since September Ramsgate are ahead of Margate by 1 point taking third place. I understand that there is talk of knocking the league on the head this season due to postponed games, 7 to 9 games played is general. If the league is cancelled it would be nice for the two sides to play before hand. Especially as Rams beat an untried Margate in the first game of the season. But expect that a few would not want to hold this fixture and not just to save Hartsdown pitch!
