i emailed kentonline.co.uk asking why local football has such limited coverage (on the website under sports) not just margate but all local teams, and i stated that when ever local teams do bad or somthing goes wrong they get covered yet when they do good they don't get a mention.

and i questioned their constant coverage of gillingham i know they are a "big" club but my point was we should get some more space in fact all local teams should...

 

this was their reply.

 

Hi, thanks for writing to KentOnline. Although we are not yet in a position to carry comprehensive coverage of Kent's senior soccer we certainly don't ignore it. As I write, there is a senior soccer preview on the site and tomorrow a round-up of Saturday's action will go on line soon after the final whistles. We do this each week, and the teams get a mention whether their performance has been good or bad.

 

We run more on Gillingham because they have a larger and Kent-wide fan base and we do get quite a lot of feedback.

 

However, we are seeking to step up our on-line sports coverage. In fact we are currently rebuilding our website and reviewing the way it operates. I will copy your thoughts to our sports editors and no doubt they will consider them as part of this review. Meanwhile, why not have your say about your favourite club on our Football Speak Out which has been set up on KentOnline for fans who want to express an opinion about local soccer rather than Gills or Charlton.

(apart from charlton isnt in kent and its football things may be getting better there lol)
