Wilkos Rebel Army

Apparently Wilko was very down after the Harrow game, blaming himself for the defeat. As someone who has shown such loyalty to the club, gives 100% on the pitch, and is a good bloke always willing to chat, he's the last person who should be blamed for the mess we are in.

So, whoever's going to Heybridge Saturday, let's really get behind the team and especially Wilko. Hey, we might even score a goal.

Well said - Wilko is not responsible for that result and regardless of what else happens this season he can hold his head up high as true porfessional and a model to us all. The bloke is an absolute legend and as long as he wants to be involved in football I want him to be at Slough Town.

There is no way Wilko should be blaming himself, and nor should anyone else. He's started off his managerial career at the bottom of the league and he's moulding a team together under very difficult circumstances.

Wilko is indeed a legend for all he's given to this club and long may he stay. Aside from everything else, I would find it very hard to blame the man who did this:

Happy days Matt!

Wilko is the ultimate professional and so will take defeat personally as a manager just as he did as a player. I would be greatly bothered if losing did not bother him but equally I hope he takes this defeat on the chin and gets on with the jobs.

We'll be behind him at Heybridge, at Horsham and for as long as he is associated with the club

Completely agree with everything said above, the man is a legend.

The mere fact that he is so upset at the team's current performance shows how passionate the man is for the club. But then we all knew how much he loves the rebels, so that's no real surprise...

Lets hope wilko is at the helm next season, no matter what division its in. I'm sure given the same backing from you supporters and hopefully a few more pennies(which would double the current budget) he could build a decent side. The man is a pleasure to work with on and off the field.

To answer another thread, your continued vocal support is much appreciated by the players. Its as hard for us sometimes as it is for you watching. Please stick with it. Cheers
