That's disappointing news although with Clarke, Archer, Martin and, presumably, Paul Hakim for the rest of the season, I would guess that the playing budget wouldn't stretch to a fifth striker in any event.

 

T'lad did very well for us in his brief spell. Good luck to him from me, although he will have a lean time against our back four on February 10th.

Crawley are certainly splashing the cash; I thought they were going broke a few months ago?

 

I guess we would have kept Benyon on if any of the Hakim deals had gone through.

From my point of view that is very disappointing news. I don’t feel that either Clarke Archer Martin or Paul Hakim could score five times in seven matches! Although I would love to be proved wrong.

 

If the only reason we didn’t keep him was about paying his wages for a bit longer, then I think that was a very silly decision.

 

Let’s just hope that we will survive without him.

From what I've heard the wages that we would have had to pay were increased and so the club simply couldn't afford to.

 

It's not a silly decision at all if this is the case as the clubs has to stick within it's limits and I'm not certain that signing him on a permanant basis was ever going to be an option.

 

I've no idea how or why Crawley are allowed to continue to make signings when the very existence of the club is so finely balanced.

May be Crawley are going for Conference safety this season and then go for another 10 point deduction at the start of next season?

I don't really understand the situation with Crawley. Aren't they in adminstration and aren't their creditors only going to get paid a proportion of the money due to them? On that basis, how are they allowed to continue as a full time club and pay money for players that we cannot afford?

 

If I was a creditor and only entitled to a proportion of the money due to me, I wouldn't be too happy to see the club being allowed to spend money in this way.

 

They should be made to play cheap pub team players like Weymouth.
