Billericay 1 No good St.Albans 0

I heard the comment GC made on Tuesday to a supporter and thought it really not necessary. We all have an opinion and have the right to express it without getting back handed abuse from the bench.

Then on the other hand, GC does have a difficult job to do with a small squad and has done it very well this year (unbeaten for 2003 so far - a better January than I can remember for some time) and deserves praise (the team as well), as Simon has said. It must be frustrating to hear all the pundits in the Cow Shed with their smart comments and not "bite" back (me, I've given up after Mr. Borg had words with me - coward!!!). And you can't knock GC for his spirit and commitment (George Borg as well). And those supporters are committed as well, so a difference of opinion would be aired. I suppose GC's remit would be, if you can do better...blah, blah. I for one, wouldn't do the job!!!

And then again, isn't everyone a football manager in their own right, be it in the dug out, in the stands and on this forum. Criticism comes with the job 'cos you can't please all of the people all of the time, so you would wonder if GC knows and understands this? Maybe it's because we are a small club and the community is quite tight that those "comments" smart so...

Dunno, but the bench antics have become a spectacle (entertaining) since we have had GC and then George join us.

One more ramble (as this has become very much one - trying not to be biased). I would say that, if there was any critcism I would level at GC, is his treatment of Rantala and Fewings. They are quality players and deserve to have more than a 10 minute run out. But hey, maybe there is something in the background that we don't know about.
