An interesting point, this, Zealster.

 

The views of a good number of the very vocal support at Cambridge were clear. At that time, while it is often difficult to separate fact from fantasy and rumour, and the press were printing wildly differing stories each week which created more problems than it solved, as usual, it seemed that t'lad's head had been turned by the apparent riches of full-time football.

 

Over the past six weeks it would seem that "terms have been unable to be agreed" with The Muff, Grays, Stevenage, and Dagenham & Redbridge, and now he's back with us subject to any developments over the remaining few days of the transfer window, presumably. We don't know - well I don't know - the relationship between the player, the boardroom and the manager, but for now, he is under contract which, I have no doubt is being honoured by both sides, so he should be available for selection and he can get on with doing what he clearly enjoys doing.

I believe that he's on a contract with us for this season and if he does want to play full-time next year he will have the opportunity to show-case his talents if he is selected in the yeller & blue.
